Interior Refurbishment of 210 Rooms, Bathrooms, Lobby, Bar, Function Room & Public Toilet. This project also included asbestos removal.

The scope of works included deconstructing all the hotel rooms and upgrading with new switches, sockets, new tiling to bathrooms, new sanitary ware, new mechanical wiring. The works also included the new installation of bed heads, fire doors, mini bar units and bulk heads. The MATV and data points were also overhauled.

The lobby area was updated with a new reception counter, new seating. We also installed new signage and electrical fittings to suit. The bar area, function room and public toilet were also totally refurbished.

The complexity of this fitout was in the fact that we were working in a live environment, the works were carried out over the Christmas period when the hotel had maximum capacity for beds occupied. Watts & Hughes needed to be very vigilant to ensure that customers were not affected by the works. Watts & Hughes were very successful with managing this process and communicating effectively on a daily basis, and the client was very satisfied with the outcome.
