This school redevelopment was constructed over a 12-month period and completed in December 2013. The project was completed five weeks ahead of schedule with a mutual agreement to allow early access to operations for the school in the new year.

The project included the construction, over three stages of the following new buildings:
Stage 1
• Block A: A new administration building housing the principal’s office, reception, sick bay,
  meeting and interview rooms.
• Block B: New classrooms 1-5.
• New Block G.
• New netball courts.

Stage 2
• Block H1: New classrooms.
• Alterations and additions to existing Block H.

Stage 3
• New library, staffroom, resource and teachers prep rooms.
• Block A1: New Waharoa.
• Block B1: New classrooms 6-8.

The buildings consist of concrete floor slabs with seismic grade steel mesh reinforcing, structural steel portal frames for Blocks A and A1, exterior timber framed walls, Hardies monotek cladding above the line of the window heads and Colour Steel Endura roofing.

Internally all the buildings have timber framing to all interior walls, Gib Fyreline, Noiseline and Toughline throughout, seismic suspended ceiling systems, woven bamboo sheeting fixed to the gib board walls and ceilings and carpet and vinyl floor coverings througout.

The required high quality finishes were achieved throughout by strictly adhering to our Quality Management Plan along with careful planning and sub-contractor selection.
