SP1 was the construction of a new teaching block, the new teaching block provided an additional 600m2 of teaching space for the school. The building was made up of two kitchen areas, two open learning spaces, four separatable classrooms, two quiet rooms, attached bathroom facilities and 220m2 of covered patio areas with bag bays and bench seating.

Construction materials included portal structural steel structure with timber infills. Kingspan roofing and James Hardies easylap cladding system. The interior was fitted out with autex panelling, raking suspended ceilings and recycled rubber carpet tiles.

Due to the invasive nature of the works throughout the live school. Careful planning and close co-ordination with the school was needed to minimise the disruption to their operations.

Watts & Hughes focused on the most intrusive works throughout the school grounds during school holidays to minimise disruption.

SP2 was the refurbishment on the Teaching Block #3. The renovation included four focused learning spaces, two shared learning spaces for Art / Food projects, four quiet rooms, one resource storage area, upgraded bathrooms and 141 sq/m of new covered decking area for shoe & bag lockers.

Construction materials included James Hardies easylap cladding system. The interior required re-using the existing Rimu timber framed walls and was also fitted out with autex panelling, suspended ceilings and recycled rubber carpet tiles.

Due to the invasive nature of the works throughout the live school. Careful planning and close co-ordination with the school was needed which required a temporary footpath to allow ease of access from the Admin Block to the New Teaching Block.

SP3 was the Structural upgrades on Block #1 and the development of the new car park entry way, which comprised of seismic upgrades and renovations to three teaching classrooms, library, small office, store room & data room. The new entry way included demo of the dental block, removal of trees, shrubs and the installation of a new vehicle crossing

Construction included the demo of internal walls to allow for bracing elements to be installed and the removal of external windows for James Hardies easylap cladding system. The interior required re-using the existing Rimu timber framed walls and was also fitted out with autex panelling and recycled rubber carpet tiles in the library.

Due to the nature of the works throughout the admin block of the school. W&H were required to install internal site hoarding to restrict access in to the work zones while maintaining an active Admin block for the school.
