Auckland Grammar, Auckland
This project consists of the construction a new classroom block which is located in the `heart’ of the campus to maximise efficiencies of circulation and connection to adjacent buildings. The building aligns with the west wing of the historic main block, adjacent to a protected Puriri tree. A new elevated bridge connection links the new facilities directly into the upper level circulation of the Main Block, and allowance has been made for the development of future links to the new building. In addition to the new 4 level classroom block which provides 12 new teaching spaces, four per level, each space can be accessed from a covered irculation area linked by two stair cones and a new lift, new teacher resources areas are also located on each floor. The ground floor has a new Tuckshop facility. Landscaping provided shaded seating areas for students.
