The work of this project comprised the construction of a 19-storey innercity apartment building on top of an existing car park structure.

One of the major stages of this project was the strengthening of the existing structure to support the new building. This work took place within the operating car park building which formed the support for the new apartment tower block. Significant care and attention were required to carry out this work while allowing the public to continue to use the car park in safety and with a minimum of inconvenience.

We believe this project is a good example of Watts & Hughes’s ability to control budget and timelines on major works and to work safely in public spaces.
