Watts & Hughes was selected to construct two single-level tenancies at 30 Domain Road, Papamoa—a site that has shared car parking, entry and exit facilities with KFC Papamoa which was also constructed by Watts & Hughes at the same time. The combined projects were completed for a total sum of $1.60 million.

The structure consists of a concrete slab with precast boudary wall panels, tied into the foundations. Structural steel portal frames support steel purlins and Coloursteel roofing. The exterior cladding consists of a combination of Coloursteel and Titan board on a cavity system with commercial box section aluminium joinery. A full-height internal partition was fitted between the two tenancies which has a 60 minute fire rating.

Each tenancy was also fitted with toilet facilities, a kitchenette, office and storage areas. Electrical provisioning was completed and lighting, mecanical ventilation and acoustic suspended ceilings were also installed.

Westpac Papamoa is one of the tenants in this complex for which the fitout was also completed by Watts & Hughes Construction.

The client was very satisfied with the outcome of the project.
