Anson House
The remedial works to Anson House in Tauranga entailed the re-roofing as well as an exterior re-cladding of the building ensuring that complete weathertightness was restored as the building had experienced leaking due to high exposure to the elements as there is no significant shelter from surrounding buildings or vegetation. This project was undertaken while the building was fully occupied and functioning on a daily basis.
With this project Watts & Hughes had to design an exterior cladding system which would withstand the elements and which complied with the latest New Zealand Building Codes E2 and E3 which deal with external and internal moisture. We had to design the system, obtain the required Council consents as well as guarantee the end product.
This project was undertaken while the building was fully occupied and functioning on a daily basis.
