The project was the Construction of an Extension to the existing CGHS Gymnasium to the east, this also included weather-tightness repairs to the existing building.  The aluminium joinery was replaced along with exterior cladding systems as well as the roof covering.

This entire project was scheduled around a live school, taking into account their operational requirements and day to day usage. Enabling works were carried out during school holidays to minimise the impact on the functions of the school.

The gymnasium extension was designed to seamlessly match the existing building, the new flooring timbers were procured and installed, much like the internal walls to give the perception that the extension had always existed. The new and existing floor were sanded back and recoated for that final touch.
