The new, 3,876 sqm store, which will replace the existing Countdown Gisborne, will have an in-store pharmacy, a dedicated online Pick up area and will provide a vibrant and updated Countdown supermarket for the local community.

The new store will be built on the same site as the existing store, which will continue to operate while the new one is being constructed.

Work on the site began in mid-August and will be completed in two major stages. The first stage will include the construction of the new store and the second stage will include the demolition of the old store to create space for a new and more convenient car park.
