The Project was largely a seismic upgrade to the FMG WEL stand constructed in 1958. It was aimed to bring the existing stand up to 34% NBS IL3 to give the existing stand some longevity. This was largely undertaken threw Screw Piling & Foundation works and the inclusion of 5 vertical steel trusses fixed to the exterior of the building and within the building steel seismic bracing elements were added as part of the scope. The existing fire system and compliance was bought up to modern times through the addition of fire cells and whilst lounges were spruced up and one of the ablutions received a complete remodel as part of the upgrade works.
