The refurbishment works involved the closure of one floor level at a time consisting of approximately 32 rooms across five floors.

All bathrooms were completely demolished removing old baths, vanities and wall linings. Ths construction consisted of new framing to bathrooms with allowance for window from showers into the main bedrooms. New wet wall linings were fitted to the bathrooms with new wall to ceiling tiles as well as the installation of new rain water shower systems. Along with new vanities and toilets, the bedrooms were re-wall papered and decorated, complete with new carpets. The common areas such as hallways were decorated complete with new floor coverings.

Level seven included of construction of the new club lounge providing beautiful harbour views. The club lounge has its own kitchen and bar complete with lounge areas and meeting room which were all completed to 5-star standard.

Level nine also included the new presidential suite which is a large luxurious room with a large en-suite to suit the special quests. Some features included specialised wall paper and timber floor linings, large bath and shower areas with separate dining and lounge areas.

The ground floor lobby was also renovated providing a new bar and restaurant area, altering the main stairway to level 1, incorporating new timber flooring and a feature ceiling to restaurant. All the bathrooms were completely rebuilt with luxury in mind to suit the elite clientele the hotel hosts.
