KFC Porirua consisted of the complete demolition of the existing store and new rebuild. The new store consisted of a POD slab on grade with steel structure and timber framing. A mixture of claddings finished the building complementing the KFC branding whilst inside the store includes a large Kitchen area, front of house and dining space. KFC has integrated its new Delivery and Click and Collect service in this store as well as providing its drive through and counter services. This particular store had bespoke items because of its site location, new service offerings and façade learnings by the client.

The programme turn around for this redevelopment was very tight given the store was shut down and Watts & Hughes met this challenge. The build was completely shrink wrapped once the structure was up to allow internal and external works to progress concurrently
