The work of this project involved a complete revamp to the existing Supermarket and seismic upgrade to the building structure. The revamp involved installing drainage to all chiller & freezer units in the existing floor, new deli prep area, new suspended ceiling, complete paint to retail area, new signage, new floor tiles and new racking.

As the works involved the removal of the entire ceiling, the decision was made to complete the works as night shift works. This enabled us to complete the works to a tighter timeframe as much more work could be done while the store was empty. There was still a portion of works completed on day-shift during a live environment as the store continued trading.

The seismic upgrade consisted of structural members and diagonal bracing being installed into the ceiling space. The supermarket was able to trade through-out the whole build process with zero lost trading time.
